In March 2020 Europe was hit hard by COVID 19. Giada the creator of Q-Bee, unable to see her nephew and niece decided to create gifts for them. “I could not go visit them, so I decided to create little presents and send it by post like the old days. That way they would have something of auntie Gi.” Thus, the first ever Q-Bee toy was created: a handstitched bunny by Giada for her little Patty.
Read onThe very first Q-Bee sensory cube was made for Giada’s newborn nephew Pietro whom she had only seen once. ‘I took some of Pier’s (Giada’s Boyfriend) old clothes and after working nonstop for a full week I had the cube ready to be shipped. The feedback was extremely positive and seeing Pietro play with it filled my heart with joy.
After this Giada continued to create different variations of the cubes, researching materials and fabrics that would work best and be kind to infants skin.
What started as a creation of gifts for family, has grown via word of mouth, into a wonderful and exciting project.
